RSS Feeds

A Netflix feed is a method of allowing information from the Netflix website to be published elsewhere on the web in a standard XML format that can be accessed via a URL ("Feed"). Netflix offers Feeds in formats of its choosing, such as RSS and Atom formats, to create a convenient way to pass information about movies and television shows generally and/or your Netflix account to feed readers and/or websites incorporating feed readers of your choice.

Netflix offers two types of Feeds. The first are personalized Feeds, which provide information about your Netflix account. You must log into your Netflix account to obtain a personalized Feed. By obtaining personalized Feeds and using them in a non-Netflix website or feed reader application, you are agreeing to send information from your Netflix account to that non-Netflix website or application. The second type of Feeds available from Netflix are public Feeds, which provide general movie and television show information without personalization to the Netflix user.

These are the Terms of Use ("Terms") for certain feeds that Netflix may make available as a convenient way to pass information about a member's Netflix account, or information that is publicly available on the member's country-specific Netflix website, to an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader or an RSS-associated website (the "Feeds"). Netflix may provide the Feeds in RSS format, Atom-format or any other format that we choose to make available. These Terms form an agreement between Netflix, Inc. ("Netflix", "we", or "us") and you ("you"). These Terms apply to all use of a Feed, including if you obtain a Feed from this page or if you are the recipient application or website that receives the Feed and/or displays the information received from a Feed (collectively "use" of a Feed).

In addition to the content in this document, the Terms include (1) the Netflix Terms of Use, found at http://www.netflix.com/TermsOfUse, (2) the Netflix Privacy Policy, found at http://www.netflix.com/PrivacyPolicy, and (3) if you are also an affiliate for Netflix, the terms of the Affiliate Program, found at http://www.netflix.com/Affiliates. Each of those documents is hereby incorporated by reference into these Terms. In the event of any conflict between the content in this document and the documents incorporated by reference, this document shall control with respect to your use of the Feeds. If you disagree with anything in these Terms, Netflix does not grant you a license to use the Feeds.

Netflix, Inc. reserves the right to change these Terms from time to time in our sole and absolute discretion by posting a new version of these Terms on this page on our website. The most current version of these Terms can be reviewed here at this page. The most current version of the Terms will supersede all previous versions. By using the Netflix Feeds after changes are made to the Terms you agree to be bound by such changes. Your only recourse if you disagree with the Terms, or changes to the Terms, is to discontinue your use of the Feeds. As such, you should review the Terms periodically.

1. If you are a Netflix member using a personalized Feed, you consent to information about your account being transferred to you via your RSS reader or other RSS associated website as enabled by you. As you update the information pertinent to the Feed in your Netflix account, you understand and agree that such updates will automatically be sent to you via the reader or website receiving the Feed. If you share access to one of your personalized account Feeds, it may be possible for the person or application you share it with to obtain access to other Feeds containing information regarding your account, including personal information. It is your responsibility to handle the Feeds and your personal information associated with it as you deem appropriate.
2. You must not display information from any other member's Netflix personalized Feeds unless you have (a) fully informed the member of all uses you intend to make of their personalized Feeds and (b) received the members' informed written consent at any time you are collecting or will make available to third parties such user's personalized Feeds.
3. You shall not modify the Feeds in any way, including the Netflix name, logo, trademark or service mark and any associated attribution to Netflix.
4. You shall not make any representation or warranty on behalf of Netflix.
5. You shall not use the Feeds in a website location that promotes or provides instructional information about illegal activities or physical harm or injury against any group or individual, or use the Feeds in any manner that is obscene, defamatory, libelous, invasive of personal privacy, misleading or in violation of law, including but not limited to the Video Privacy Protection Act of 1988.
6. You must not display the information received from the Feeds in a manner that does not permit successful linking to the Netflix website. Redirection or the insertion of intermediate or splash pages or advertising or other content between the Feeds and the applicable page on the Netflix page website is strictly prohibited.
7. You shall not display the name, logo, trademark or other identifier of another person or company (except for Netflix or you) in such a manner as to give the viewer the impression that such other person is a publisher or distributor of the information sent via the Feeds.
8. Netflix, its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees and licensors assume no liability for your activity in connection with the Feeds or the information sent by them. Any fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise illegal activity will be grounds for termination of this Agreement. You will not attempt to hide your identity, represent yourself as someone else, compromise or attempt to compromise the security of any account, or interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of Feeds.
9. Netflix may change, restrict access to, suspend, charge for, or discontinue the Feeds at any time. Netflix reserves the right to require you to cease displaying, distributing or otherwise using any or all of the Feeds for any reason or no reason at all, including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these Terms.
10. Subject to these Terms, Netflix hereby grants you a revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the information received from the Feeds, provided that such use is non-commercial and does not directly or indirectly promote or support services competitive with, damaging to, disparaging of, or otherwise detrimental to Netflix.
11. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Netflix, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, affiliates, suppliers, advertisers, and agents from and against any third-party claim arising in any way from or related to your use of the Feeds.
12. THE FEEDS AND THE ASSOCIATED INFORMATION SENT BY NETFLIX ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW, NETFLIX, ITS AFFILIATES, AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, ADVERTISERS, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ALL WARRANTIES RELATING TO THE ADEQUACY, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE FEEDS AND THE ASSOCIATED INFORMATION.
