Although he was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on Aug. 15, 1957, Zeljko Ivanek (pronounced ZHEL-koe ee-VAH-nek) moved to the United States when he was just 3 years old, eventually graduating from Yale University and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

A familiar face on Broadway, Ivanek has three Tony nominations to his name. But he is more often recognized for his work on the small screen: as prosecutor Ed Danvers on "Homicide: Life on the Street," Gov. James Devlin on "Oz" and assassin Andre Drazen on "24." Ivanek also earned his first Emmy win for his portrayal of skilled Southern attorney Ray Fiske on the FX drama series "Damages."

Ivanek's notable films include School Ties (1992), Courage Under Fire (1996), A Civil Action (1998), Black Hawk Down (2001), The Manchurian Candidate (2004) and In Bruges (2008).
