1989 Daytona 500
In this high-octane coverage of the Daytona 500, veteran racer Darrell Waltrip -- after 17 attempts -- finds his way to the winner's circle. Threading his way through a 10-car pileup and stretching his fuel as far it could go, Waltrip crossed the finish line 7.64 seconds ahead of Ken Schrader. The elated Waltrip, doing an impression of football star Icky Woods, used victory lane to do the "Icky Shuffle" and spiked his helmet in gridiron fashion.
