Winning their eighth national title with a final score of 9-8, the top-seeded Blue Jays came from behind to defeat the second-ranked Blue Devils. Sophomore Jake Byrne stunned his teammates and head coach Dave Pietramala when he scored the unassisted game-winning goal with more than 13 agonizing minutes remaining. It was a championship season for Johns Hopkins, which wrapped up the year undefeated with a 16-0 record.
