After inheriting a wildlife preserve in Africa, the MacKenzies trade in their materialistic city life for the African savannah, where they find adventure and rediscover the meaning of family. In these episodes, Jessica, looking to spend some time alone, ends up being bitten by a cobra miles away from home. Then, when friends from L.A. visit, the MacKenzies get a dose of homesickness but also remember why they left in the first place.
