Produced by "Dragnet" star Jack Webb, this long-running drama drawn from real-life police cases tells the story of Pete Malloy (Martin Milner), a veteran cop who teaches rookie Jim Reed (Kent McCord) all about crime fighting in urban Los Angeles.
