First-time filmmaker Barb Lee examines the many challenges of international transracial adoption in this moving documentary, focusing her lens on two white American families who adopt Asian children. One couple shares their joy as they prepare to adopt a baby from China. At the other end of the spectrum is Jen, a 32-year-old Korean-born woman who is struggling to cope with her adoptive mother's terminal illness.
