Going home for the holidays is hardly a happy event for twenty-something book editor Amy (Alanna Ubach). But the Jewish holidays beckon, so home she goes, even though it pains her to witness her mother's (Lesley Ann Warren) empty ladies-who-lunch life, her means to escape a troubled marriage and broken dreams. This time may be different, though, as mother and daughter allow themselves to open up, finding renewed appreciation for each other.
