After his mother deserts him, young Marcel moves in with his grandfather, Pascual (Héctor Alterio), until he comes of age, when he makes plans to leave the old man and open a business with his girlfriend, Bea (Aroa Gimeno). But when Pascual falls prey to the ravages of Alzheimer's disease, the lad must choose between helping his grandfather and pursuing his own dreams. Alberto Ferreiro and Sergio Padilla play Marcel at different stages of his life.
