Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that Amazing Stories is a fantastic anthology series of sci-fi, horror, and curiosity tales. Each episode starts a new story with wide-ranging concepts like ghost trains, serial murders, time travel, and space adventures, and content that varies accordingly. This makes the show's appropriateness for kids difficult to predict, but it's safe to assume there's usually some creepiness factor, a few scares, and the possibility of some violence. The complex stories are more highbrow than action-packed, so it's better suited for tweens and up than a younger crowd.
Physical closeness between adults doesn't go farther than kissing.
The content changes with each story, making the violence quotient difficult to predict. Some episodes are spine-tinglers along the lines of ghost stories; others feature scenes of war, murder (a man is stangled by an unseen assailant, for instance), and the like. Weapons are used when they relate to the plot. Zombies, phantoms, and other supernatural beings play roles as well.
Often the stories have positive underlying messages or show the characters performing good deeds. Characters' bad behavior usually has a consequence.
Drugs / Tobacco /
Some characters drink, smoke, and are seen taking prescription drugs, but it's rarely excessive.
