American Masters: Ernest Hemingway: Rivers to the Sea
This absorbing installment of the PBS series looks at literary giant Ernest Hemingway, whose prose echoed his adventures as a war correspondent, sportsman and bullfight devotee. Nicknamed "Papa," Hemingway -- who earned a Pulitzer Prize for his novella "The Old Man and the Sea" -- greatly influenced other American authors of his generation. Interviews with his family and writer A.E. Hotchner are included, along with readings of Hemingway's works.
