Part 2 of Lucas Belvaux's gripping trilogy finds successful businessman Alain (Francois Morel) spiraling into an unknown abyss, sure that he's gravely ill, although his doctor claims he's in good health. Convinced of his fate, he becomes more bizarre with each passing day, so much so that his wife (Ornella Muti) hires a cop, Pascal (Gilbert Melki), to look into Alain's comings and goings ... which only makes matters worse.
