Bad Luck

1960 Rated NR 1hr 48m

Set in Poland during an era of drastic changes, Andrzej Munk's dark satire chronicles 20 years of a man's life, from his 1930s childhood until he reaches young adulthood in 1950. Jan's (Bogumil Kobiela) innocent early years are fleeting as the winds of change sweep through the country and he's caught up in political crises, joins the army to meet women and is mistakenly imprisoned in a POW camp. Kazimierz Opalinski co-stars.
