When self-absorbed young Makena whisks her away from her beautiful home among the wildflowers to live in a city apartment, Thumbelina learns that her idyllic home -- and the Twillerbees that live there -- are threatened by a construction project. Now Thumbelina must find a way to draw on the power of nature to stop the development, but first she must convince Makena to look beyond her own selfishness and understand the plight of others.
