In order to avoid the draft during the turbulent 1960s, Ben Sweet (Nick Roth) enrolls at UC Berkeley, where his talent for playing the guitar coupled with an altruistic naïveté lead him down the path of free love, drugs and political activism. Searching for his place in the world, Ben tries to sort out his complicated romantic entanglements, as well as make peace with the conservative father who resisted his artistic pursuits.
