Bernadette of Lourdes
In 1858, young French peasant Bernadette Soubirous (Danièle Ajoret) has multiple visions of the Virgin Mary, who instructs her pious witness to unearth an underground spring. Bernadette succeeds, and the spring's healing waters soon attract thousands of believers. The 1960s biopic chronicles Bernadette's legendary visions, her sudden fame, her retreat to a convent and her eventual path to sainthood.
