When French courtesan Madame Peloux (Kathy Bates) sets her pampered son, Chéri (Rupert Friend), up with middle-aged fellow courtesan Lea de Lonval (Michelle Pfeiffer), she wants to ensure that he learns everything he needs to know about lovemaking from the very best.
