Child Star: The Shirley Temple Story
Concentrating on her career heyday during the Great Depression -- during which time she starred in nearly 40 movies before the age of 10 -- this made-for-TV biopic also looks at the relationship between Shirley Temple (Ashley Rose Orr) and her supportive parents (Connie Britton and Colin Friels). The film, based on Temple's autobiography, paints an upbeat portrait of the dimpled tyke who became a showbiz legend.
