When Elmo (voiced by Kevin Clash) learns that the princess (Keri Russell) plans to hold a ball at her palace, he decides he'd like to attend. However, his grumpy stepmother (Kathy Najimy) wants her other two sons to go because word is out that the princess is looking for a suitable husband. Just when Elmo thinks he'll be stuck at home, his Fairy Godperson (Oliver Platt) turns up and arranges for him to go to the gala.
