Common Sense Note

Parents need to know that Diana examines the life of Princess Diana in the brief period after her official divorce and before her tragic death. Expect a bit of romance, some kissing and post-coital scenes, plus a character who smokes regularly. There's also some social drinking and moderate swearing.

Sexual Content

A couple is shown relaxing in bed under the covers after having sex. The man appears not to be wearing clothes under it. Some flirting and banter, and a few emotional kisses.

Violence

A tragic car accident is hinted at, but not shown. Bloodied land mine victims are seen, including one child with a limb blown off, but it's brief.

Language

Occasional swearing, including "bloody," "bastard" and in one instance, "f--k."

Social Behavior

Love sometimes doesn't conquer all. Princess Diana seems to find true love after her bitter divorce, but it's almost impossible for her to find a way to actually be with her new boyfriend because of the potential media frenzy that might follow.

Consumerism

Some well-known brands are name-checked or appear on screen, including Audi, Mercedes, Polo, and Christian Dior.

Drugs / Tobacco / Alcohol

One character, a doctor no less, smokes frequently and is often criticized for his habit. People drink wine with dinner and a few scenes take place at bars and pubs crowded with people drinking beer.
