Sultry screen queen Hedy Lamarr stars in this pair of black-and-white dramas from the 1940s. In Dishonored Lady (1947), a hard-partying fashion editor (Lamarr) headed for a nervous breakdown assumes a new identity on the advice of a shrink, only to end up as a murder suspect. Then, in The Strange Woman (1946), Lamarr plays a femme fatale who weds a wealthy but much older businessman (Gene Lockhart) yet refuses to take herself off the market.
