In the fifth season of this hit anime series, Goku has vanquished the evil villain Piccolo but soon learns he needs yet more training if he hopes to prevail at the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament. Becoming a pupil of Mr. Popo, Goku undertakes a series of dangerous quests and even travels through time to sharpen his fighting skills, then advances to the competition, where he learns the fate of the world itself hangs in the balance.
