Between 1965 and 1973, the incomparable jazz legend Duke Ellington created three large-scale productions of sacred music that incorporated gospel singers, dancers and his own remarkable jazz ensemble. Ellington's unique spiritual music is revisited here for the 100th anniversary of his birth with the help of jazz greats from around the world -- including trumpeter Jon Faddis, drummer Adam Nussbaum and singer Michele Hendricks.
