Even though his legs are working perfectly, the widowed Don Anselmo (José Isbert) will do anything to get himself into a motorized wheelchair so he can take part in more activities with his disabled friend (Lepe). But Don Anselmo's practical-minded lawyer son (Pedro Porcel), who can't understand his father's motivations, is determined to fight his wishes at every turn.
