Fun is the order of the day when Nanny goes on vacation and leaves the Plaza's youngest resident in the care of the lovely and hip Nicole. Footloose and fancy-free, Eloise sees a side of the city she's never been exposed to, but her delight turns to despair when her newfound friend shows an interest in another friend -- Eloise's favorite Plaza employee, Bill. Green with envy, Eloise plots to break up the romance in this animated tale.

Parents need to know that Eloise in Springtime's upbeat message of the importance of love is overshadowed by child and adult characters lying to get what they want. There are repercussions and apologies, but neither Eloise nor her temporary babysitter make good role models for children. Eloise's mother in Paris won't come home to care for her, even when Nanny is going on vacation.

Both Eloise and her babysitter purposely mislead other characters to get what they want, causing sadness and inconvenience. Even when beloved Nanny takes a short vacation, Eloise's mother hires another sitter rather than taking care of her daughter herself.
