Common Sense Note

Parents need to know that this movie attempts to find dark humor in the premise that murder is a convenient option for women who've been the victims of offensive male behavior. Most men are portrayed as empty-headed, leering sexual predators, while the women are either angrily amoral, wide-eyed victims, or both. Expect plenty of violence, including a car crashing and burning, a woman being pummeled by her husband, and a dentist stabbed by his assistant, though all are portrayed in a darkly comedic manner. Characters also swear ("f--k," "s--t," "whore," etc.) and smoke, and some drive drunk.

Sexual Content

Assorted men leer, grope, harass, and stalk attractive women throughout the movie. While there's no nudity, many of the women dress in revealing clothing. There are a number of romantic scenes in which a couple falling in love kisses passionately and winds up in bed together.

Violence

A car chase results in a car going over a steep cliff and blowing up with the driver still inside. In a fantasy scene, a dental assistant imagines herself stabbing her employer with a sharp instrument. A drunken man slugs his wife. An irate shopper punches a man.

Language

Frequent potty language and angry, coarse insults. Examples include "jackass," "bastard," "whore," "blow job," "penis," "dammit," "get laid," "f--k," and "s--t." Also "retard," used on more than one occasion.

Social Behavior

Characters literally get away with murder. The central premise is that death is the appropriate punishment for crimes against women, including sexual harassment, adultery, domestic abuse, stalking, and more. Paid female avengers reap rewards for their activities and are never punished.

Consumerism

Dell computers; several brands of beer are advertised on signs in a bar: Shiner, Real Ale, Firewater, and others.

Drugs / Tobacco / Alcohol

One main character smokes continuously. Many scenes take place in a bar, with lots of drinking and some drunkenness. A very inebriated man punches his wife. Several characters drive after they have been drinking or are very drunk.
