Beautiful, self-employed Julia (Dina Meyer) leads a fulfilling life, but since her divorce, she's struggled to meet a new man. At the urging of best pals Rebecca (Lea Thompson) and Sharlene (Lela Rochon), she enters the dating scene and meets handsome Scott (Vincent Spano), who seems too good to be true. When Julia learns of Scott's dark past, she'll need the help of her two friends to escape his grasp -- but all three are drawn into danger.
