Fedora (Metropolitan Opera)
This 1997 production of Giordano's "Fedora," conducted by Roberto Abbado, follows main character Fedora Romazov (Mirella Freni), an attractive Russian princess who grows ever more entrenched in a love affair with a debonair upper-class spy named Loris Ipanov (Placido Domingo). Also stars Ainhoa Arteta, Dwayne Croft, Stephen West and Vernon Hartman. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus back up the soloists.
