Based on the popular video game, this anime series begins when a gateway to another world abruptly opens. Two monsters quickly appear and, just as swiftly, destroy each other. Their only remains: a mysterious pillar of darkness. And so the journey begins for a set of twins whose parents disappeared that same day; that search for the parents brings the twins to a realm called Wonderland, where fantasy and danger go hand in hand.
