Common Sense Note

Parents need to know that For a Good Time, Call... is a comedy about female friends who team up to create a successful phone sex business. Language ("s--t," "f--k," and much more) and sex are the biggest issues; though the movie doesn't show too much, there's very heavy sexual innuendo. As the main characters speak to customers, they use strong language and pretend to be sexually aroused, even though viewers can see they're only acting. There are suggestions of men masturbating, though nothing explicit is shown. Characters argue from time to time, but otherwise, the mood is light and funny, and there are actually positive themes about friendship and teamwork floating around underneath all of the crude stuff.

Sexual Content

The movie's plot revolves around a phone sex business, and there are many scenes of women performing phone sex or pretending to be sexually aroused while describing sex acts. In the first few minutes of the movie, a main character has sex with her boyfriend, though she keeps her bra on. There are sexual sounds coming from behind closed doors and strong, constant, verbal sexual innuendo/references, including a brief joke about sex with minors. Male masturbation is implied, though everything happening below the belt takes place off screen. A batch of sex toys is displayed on a coffee table.

Violence

The main characters argue a lot; one such argument happens when one girl pees in a cup and spills it all over the other in a car.

Language

Frequent strong language includes "f--k," "s--t," "c--k," "p---y," "penis," "blow job," "ass," "breasts," "bush," "pee," "bitch," "boobs," "t-t," "a--hole," "d--k," "balls," "motherf---er," "snatch," "hell," "damn," "goddamn," "vagina," "anal," and "slut," as well as "oh my God" and "Jesus" (as exclamations).

Social Behavior

Lots of iffy behavior, but the two main characters do overcome an intense dislike for each other and become friends. They support each other and use teamwork to make their business flourish.

Consumerism
