Fusing slasher franchises, this hybrid of horror pits nightmarish Freddy Krueger against serial killer Jason Voorhees in the ultimate showdown after Freddy -- stuck in hell -- revives Jason as part of a plan to revisit the dreams of Elm Street teens. But Freddy's demonic scheme spins out of control when the maniacal Jason begins his own campaign of terror. Robert Englund returns as Freddy, while Ken Kirzinger takes over the part of Jason.

Common Sense Note

Parents need to know that this movie contains lots of nudity and some sex, lots of foul language, and characters who drink and do drugs. There is also an ambiguous date rape and a brief racial slur towards the only black character in the entire movie. People are gutted, stabbed, impaled, torn apart, sliced open, burned, crushed, and killed in just about any way that produces lots of gushing blood. But if it's any consolation to parents, all the kids who engage in stupid behavior pay for it pretty heavily.
