Gianluigi Gelmetti steers the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart through this memorable rendition of Gioacchino Rossini's 1812 comic opera "La Scala di Seta," filmed live at the Rokokotheater Schwetzingen during the world-famous Schwetzinger Music Festival in 1990. An ensemble cast helmed by director Michael Hampe boasts the vocal talents of soprano Luciana Serra, tenor David Kuebler, bass Alberto Rinaldi and baritone Alessandro Corbelli.
