Set at the turn of the 20th century, this moving Polish drama follows the lives of four young women as they come of age. After leaving school, Franka (Maria Ciunelis), Bronka (Izabela Drobotowicz-Orkisz), Kwiryna (Ewa Kasprzyk) and Amelka (Marta Klubowicz) face the challenges of life in postwar Warsaw. The ambitious friends support one another through ups and downs as they search for success in the financial, political and relationship arenas.
