In this haunting adaptation of the Latin legend of La Llorona ("the weeping woman"), a tragically beautiful mother drowns her children and kills herself after discovering her husband's infidelities -- but the carnage doesn't end there. Much like a rampant virus, the woman's cursed spirit begins to spread and infect the residents of her town, silently urging them to murder their loved ones and share her fate.
