Herbert Von Karajan: Verdi: Falstaff
Shakespeare's indelible character Falstaff bounds to life in Giuseppe Verdi's comic opera. Drawn from the pages of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and "Henry IV," the storyline follows the aging knight (Giuseppe Taddei) through a series of romantic misadventures. Raina Kabaivanska is Alice, the would-be victim of his lecherous designs. This 1982 production features the Wiener Philharmoniker, under the direction of the legendary Herbert Von Karajan.
