Set in strife-torn 1991 Angola, this visceral drama chronicles the odyssey of adolescent war orphan N'dala (Roldan Pinto Joao). Escorted by a protective nun, N'dala is airlifted to the relative peace of the capital, where he runs away to explore the urban landscape. But trouble hovers on the horizon when the artless N'dala crosses paths with a shifty character named Joka (Raul Rosario).
