Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that this political thriller takes advantage of its premium cable freedom with adult language ("f--k" "s--t"), sexual nudity, mature themes, and heavy, bloody violence. However, none of the adult content is gratuitous and is mostly germane to the story being told and the characters depicted. The show also depicts a complicated and morally questionable vision of government and the military that would only be understood by older, mature teens and adults.
Sexual
Content
Occasional full sex scenes featuring both female frontal nudity and male nudity from behind. Sexual relationships are built into the fabric of the show as a key source of drama and suspense, for example two characters concerned that their affair will be revealed to a third party.
Violence
The series is set in the CIA and among covert operations teams, so there is a great deal of military and hand-to-hand physical violence. The physical violence can be extremely graphic and bloody as well as emotionally intense.
Language
Frequent use of language including "f--k" and "s--t."
Social
Behavior
While there are some significant moral grey areas explored in the series, there are also very clear indications of who is right and wrong, and what it means to fight for what one believes even in the face of great adversity.
Consumerism
Not applicable
Drugs / Tobacco /
Alcohol
Frequent social drinking. Occasional teens smoking marijuana as an example of rebellion. An anti-psychotic drug is involved in a key plot point for one of the main characters.
