An exceptional-looking DVD with a commentary by director Bernard Rose, a documentary about Ludwig van Beethoven, a featurette, cast biographies and the theatrical trailer. The Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, as you'd hope for a film about a composer's life, is quite good; Beethoven's music is performed by Sir Georg Solti and the London Symphony. A nicely packaged DVD.
