In hopes of escaping his angry ex-fiancée (Mo'Nique), Los Angeles con man Jimmy "The Jam" McDevitt (Eddie Griffin) rips off a rap song and enters a poetry contest. Miraculously, his thievery wins him the grand prize -- his very own Irish pub -- and a trip to the tiny Irish town that will become his new home.
