Jean-Philippe Rameau: Zoroastre
An epic tale of good and evil, Jean-Philippe Rameau's opera "Zoroastre" tells of the title character's (Anders J. Dahlin) battle with the wicked sorcerer Abramane (Evgueniy Alexiev) for the fate of the land of Bactria. This darkly textured production, directed by Pierre Audi, was filmed live at the Drottningholms Slottsteater in Stockholm in 2006, with Christophe Rousset conducting the Drottningholm Theatre Orchestra and Chorus.
