Legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan directs the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Singing Society in this collection of performances saluting the works of Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. Symphony no. 8 in C Minor was recorded live in 1979 inside the St. Florian monastery where Bruckner once studied and taught. Symphony no. 9 in D Minor and "Te Deum" were filmed live at the Vienna Musikverein in 1978.
