Set in a bucolic beach town outside of Los Angeles, this long-running primetime soap follows the drama-filled lives of several families living in a cul-de-sac, including recovering alcoholic Gary Ewing (Ted Shackelford) -- first seen on "Dallas" -- and his wife, Valene (Joan Van Ark). The Ewings' neighbors include a wholesome business owner and his wife, a pair of newlyweds, an unhappily married couple and a troublemaking divorcée.
