Madly in love, Lise (Marianela Nuñez) and Colas (Carlos Acosta) desperately want to marry, but the widow Simone (William Tuckett) has arranged for Lise to wed wealthy dimwit Alain (Jonathan Howells) in this enchanting Royal Ballet production of Frederick Ashton's "La Fille Mal Gardee" ("The Badly Guarded Daughter"). Conducted by Anthony Twiner, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House provides musical accompaniment.
