Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer David Turnley delivers a colorful, Spanish-language feature film debut by exploring the history of Havana's hallowed dancehall, La Tropical, and the effect it's had on Cuban culture. After springing up in the 1950s as the brainchild of a beer company, the club continued to flourish throughout the decades, surviving racial segregation, the Cuban revolution and bouts of social upheaval.
