More than three decades after its 1973 debut, this BBC sitcom about three elderly gentlemen determined to act like kids -- especially in the face of nagging women -- remains true to itself despite numerous shifts among its cast over the years. The faces may change, but the beleaguered buddies' noble goal does not: to avoid work at all costs and refuse to grow old. However, living a fast life at an advanced age leads to hilarious consequences.

In this season of the long-running sitcom, eccentric Yorkshire retirees Compo (Bill Owen) and Clegg (Peter Sallis) -- whose youthful larking belies their advanced age -- get a new pal to round out their tight-knit trio: oddball inventor Seymour (Michael Aldridge). While Seymour convinces his pals to test out his newfangled man-purse and other dubious inventions, his sister Edie (Thora Hird) risks disaster on the road learning to drive.
