Lay That Rifle Down
After enrolling in a correspondence charm school to improve herself, an awkward farm girl (Judy Canova, aka "The Queen of Corn") discovers her once-worthless land has skyrocketed in value. But when she's besieged by greedy relatives and swindlers, she learns that sitting on a gold mine ain't all it's cracked up to be. This slapstick musical draws on Canova's vaudeville roots while showcasing her talent as one of the era's top comediennes.
