Agnes Tessier (Lisa Heredia) leaves school to work at a chemical factory with her pal, Florence. When they encounter sexual harassment, volatile coworkers and unsafe conditions, Agnes seeks the position of union rep in an effort to bring change to the factory. Shot on 16mm for French television, director Jean-Claude Brisseau -- a protégé of Eric Rohmer -- paints a harsh and gritty portrait of women in the blue-collar workplace.
