Lana Turner delivers a fine performance as Holly Parker Anderson, who sacrifices her happiness to save her family from scandal in this 1966 tearjerker. Forced to vanish and live under an alias after her lover (Ricardo Montalban) dies in an accident that could implicate her, Holly slides into depression and addiction. But when a blackmailer threatens to expose her, she commits murder and goes on trial -- unaware that her attorney is her grown son.
