As the anniversary of his wife's death approaches, elderly Nobuo (Ken Ogata) persuades his estranged eldest son Ryoichi (Teruyuki Kagawa) to return home to commemorate her death. But pent-up resentments soon boil over, and Ryoichi clashes bitterly with his father. Adding to the household tension is younger brother Yasuo (Yasufumi Hayashi), who has sacrificed his own dreams to care for their aging dad. Masahiro Kobayashi directs this moving drama.
