Tunisian director Nouri Bouzid continues his exploration of the Arab conception of manhood in this film, which focuses on two working-class friends, Hachemi and Farfat, in the city of Sfax, Tunisia. An impending arranged marriage, the painful legacy of a child molester and the expectations of their male-dominated culture drive both of the friends to harsh fates.
